Meet Your Lead Team

Kate (Vice Chair)

Kate is a high school English teacher turned homeschool mom in her twelfth year of homeschooling. When she’s not reading, baking, or sipping earl grey tea, you’ll probably find her exploring nature with her husband and three daughters. As MCHA’s Vice Chair, she takes care of scheduling, registration, and other behind-the-scenes planning.

Meghan (God Squad Coordinator - Ages 13+/Youth)

Meghan is wife to a wonderful, hard working husband and mother to two amazing, tall sons, ages 14 and 16. She has been homeschooling for six years and has been a member of MCHA for 3 1/2 years. Being homeschooled herself from 4th through 12th grade, she has a passion for the foundation homeschooling can provide. As the God Squad Coordinator, Meghan is responsible for planning, coordinating, and managing classes for our group’s amazing teens. She hopes to continue, with God’s guidance, the legacy of providing a place for teens to grow, learn, and be confident in who they are.

Jady (H2O Coordinator - Ages 9-12/Jr. Youth)

The Lord called Jady to homeschooling 5 years ago. While homeschooling wasn't part of her original life plan, God's perfect wisdom has brought tremendous blessings to their family. When she's not busy homeschooling, taking their boys to sports or homeschool meetups, she is working with her business clients. Jady has two boys and a wonderful husband. As H2O coordinator, her hope for this age group is to learn respect for their peers and adults, to learn life skills, to feel loved, and certainly not least—to have fun!

Jenn (KFC Coordinator - Ages 5-8/Elementary)

Jenn is a homeschool mom of two girls, aged 12 and 6. She has been homeschooling for four years and joined MCHA two years ago. Jenn enjoys baking, going for walks, family gatherings, and spending time with the Lord. As the KFC Coordinator, she is responsible for supporting this group with planning and scheduling, maintaining the supply bin, and also serving as a main point of contact for the questions and needs of the group.

Alicia (Little Arrows Coordinator - Ages 0-4/Preschool)

Alicia is an adoring wife and mother to 5 smallish kids. She is a part-time paramedic and full time mom currently trying to figure out her 3rd year of homeschooling. She firmly believes her sanctity is to be found in saying yes to our Lord in ordinary family life, and she's working hard to live that truth despite failing daily. She enjoys sunshine in heavy doses. Early bed times and babysitters. You'll generally find her with a coffee in one hand and a child in the other, and that's just the way she likes it! As Little Arrows Coordinator, Alicia oversees scheduling and planning for our youngest group.

Ruth (Internet Coordinator)

A native of Seattle, WA, Ruth is a second generation homeschool mom. Though she’s enjoyed an eclectic career as a harpist and cookbook author, her favourite job is chasing after four kids alongside her husband, David. As the MCHA internet coordinator, Ruth manages the email newsletter and website.

Mariam (New Member Ambassador)

Mariam is a wife, mama of three, and daughter of Christ. She has a career in Public Relations and worked under non-profit, corporate, and government. Once her son made her a mom, she couldn’t comprehend the idea of missing out time with him. After many years of prayers, she began their homeschool journey 1.5 years ago and is still praying the Lord leads them in all the days ahead. She serves on the lead team in welcoming new families to MCHA. She prays that everyone feels welcomed, safe, inspired, and connected as we all take this precious homeschooling journey together.

Lindsay (Hospitality Coordinator)

Lindsay is blessed to homeschool 2 of her 3 children. Her oldest has recently joined in-person high school (dramatically increasing his mother's prayer time!). She loves coffee and tea, so it comes naturally for her to organize it weekly for the hard-working parents and guardians at MCHA. She takes much joy in providing hospitality, and she considers it her ministry for the Lord.
