Meet Your Lead Team

Kate (Vice Chair)

Kate is a high school English teacher turned homeschool mom in her eleventh year of homeschooling. When she’s not reading, baking, or sipping earl grey tea, you’ll probably find her exploring nature with her husband and three daughters. As MCHA’s Vice Chair, she takes care of scheduling, registration, and other behind-the-scenes planning.

Dinah (Treasurer)

Dinah has been a homeschool mama for 10 years and is also a trained ESL teacher. She has been married to Michael for 23 years, and they have been blessed with 4 incredible children. Dinah loves Jesus, books, thunderstorms and chocolate…in that order. As MCHA’s Treasurer, she maintains the financial records, including preparation of the annual statement and budget.

Orlinda (God Squad Coordinator)

Orlinda has been homeschooling since 2012. Her daughter graduated in 2024, and is currently enrolled in college. Her son is now in Grade 12. She enjoys watching anime shows with them. Orlinda continues to be dedicated to providing a supportive and engaging learning environment at home. As God Squad coordinator, Orlinda oversees and makes plans for our co-op's amazing oldest students.

Jady (H2O Coordinator)

The Lord called Jady to homeschooling 5 years ago. While homeschooling wasn't part of her original life plan, God's perfect wisdom has brought tremendous blessings to their family. When she's not busy homeschooling, taking their boys to sports or homeschool meetups, she is working with her business clients. Jady has two boys and a wonderful husband. As H2O coordinator, her hope for this age group is to learn respect for their peers and adults, to learn life skills, to feel loved, and certainly not least—to have fun!

Jenn (KFC Coordinator)

Jenn is a homeschool mom of two girls, aged 12 and 6. She has been homeschooling for four years and joined MCHA two years ago. Jenn enjoys baking, going for walks, family gatherings, and spending time with the Lord. As the KFC Coordinator, she is responsible for supporting this group with planning and scheduling, maintaining the supply bin, and also serving as a main point of contact for the questions and needs of the group.

Ruth (Internet Coordinator)

A native of Seattle, WA, Ruth is a second generation homeschool mom. Though she’s enjoyed an eclectic career as a harpist and cookbook author, her favourite job is chasing after four kids alongside her husband, David. As the MCHA internet coordinator, Ruth manages the email newsletter and website.

Gigi (Field Trip Coordinator)

Gigi is a mathematician, turned high school teacher, turned pharmacist, turned homeschool mom to 6 awesome kiddos. She's a loud, adrenaline junkie that runs two online platforms and always has an endless well of crazy ideas. As MCHA's field trip coordinator, she sets up trips and experiences that can range from trips to the zoo, mom nights out or family getaways.
